The journey

The journey of fighting autoimmune diseases is a tough one.  The pain has been unfathomable and unrelenting. The level of loneliness, the same. Most days it feels like I am going one step forward, 10 steps back. Small victories are hard to hold onto but critical to healing.   I have had and undoubtedly will continue to have countless moments of uncertainty/self-doubt on how to ' cure" myself, how to heal and how to live the highest quality of life I can. I will continue to search/research/ experiment on myself until I crack this code. The balance between rest and finding the energy to be productive is incredibly difficult.  I want to be able to help other people like myself, who are struggling to process these unexpected  battles and curveballs. To make an impact. To provide resources. Most importantly,  help people connect. In this time of isolation, I find myself constantly searching for purpose, to find a way to turn all my pain and suffering into something positive. Which is why I decided to share these images.

They say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So here are some pictures of the good, the bad, and the ugly. As well as some silver linings and happy moments sprinkled throughout the chaos. Hopefully, we will expand and share other peoples stories/pictures going forward as well and spread more awareness and truth of what an invisible illness really looks like.

Some images may be graphic for some.
